Magnesium creatine chelate, creatine ethyl ester hcl, betaine anhydrous, taurine ethyl ester di-HCI, arginine ethyl ester di-hcl, glycocyamine, k-rala, 4-hydroxyisoleucine (20%)
Magnesium Creatine Chelate: This is an advanced creatine, relatively new on the market. Designed to increase creatine absorption, by combining creatine with magnesium, the creatine is protected from stomach acid. It may therefore offer greater bioavailability than regular creatine. Creatine is useful to the bodybuilder as it it increases the short bursts of power needed to lift weights. It assists with muscle building as it aids recovery between sets by replenishing ATP stores (muscle energy) quicker.
Creatine Ethyl Ester HCL: Is another advanced form of creatine. It is creatine monohydrate with an ester attached. Esters are organic compounds that are formed by esterification - the reaction of carboxylic acid and alcohols, from which it is made. In the body, CEE is converted back into creatine. Because it is slightly more lipophilic, the ethyl ester allows for easier absorption into cells, and a longer half-life in the body. Creatine is useful to the bodybuilder as it increases the short bursts of power needed to lift weights. betaine anhydrous: Betaine Anhydrous is a vitamin derived from choline. Betaine is essential for the maintenance of intestinal function and cell production. It may also promote lean mass and increase appetite
taurine ethyl ester di-HCI: Taurine is an organic acid and a potent antioxidant found in tissues of animals and in plants. Taurine can expand your muscle cells by helping the cell hold water, this is positive for the bodybuilder as the muscles will look fuller and increased hydration can aid protein synthesis. The fact the taurine in Green Bulge is Taurine Ethyl Ester di-HCL means that the taurine should be absorbed more easily absorbed.
Arginine ethyl ester di-hcl: is composed of an arginine molecule that is more easily absorbed and more resistant to chemical breakdown in the body. The benefits will be similar to arginine; Arginine is important in cell division, wound healing, removing ammonia from the body, immune function and the release of hormones. Arginine is the immediate pre cursor of Nitric Oxide and is necessary for the synthesis of creatine. As a precursor of Nitric Oxide it is used to increase blood flow to the muscle. Arginine also increases the production of growth hormone.
Glycocyamine: Glycocyamine is a precursor to creatine, essentially Glycocyamine converts to creatine in the body, the benefit of this is glycocyamine has a high oral bioavailability and is efficiently converted into creatine. This would then offer the same benefits of creatine. Taking Glycocyamine with Betaine (as is included in Controlled Labs Green Bulge in a 4:1 Betaine to Glycocyamine ratio) is considered to be safer than taking Glycocyamine alone.
k-rala: K-RALA is part of a potent antioxidant couple (with R-DHLA) that detoxifies the free radicals released during the energy-producing process. K-RALA has a significant effect on other cellular antioxidants such as vitamins C and E, as well as CoQ10 and glutathione. K-RALA is added to this supplement to "scavenge free radicals" and to make Green Bulge "Healthy".
4-hydroxyisoleucine: may amplify carbohydrate-induced insulin secretion. This supplement allows nutrients (which may include creatine) to be loaded at a cellular level. 4-Hydroxyisoleucine may also increase the receptivity of muscle cells to insulin, which would increase nutrient storage in muscles.
